As the pandemic rages on, we’re super sad not to see your lovely faces and commune together in a space for the first day of 2021. But we wouldn’t miss our annual tradition of music + conversation + community, so we’ve gone virtual! Make sure you’re there with us, albeit remotely, by tuning in via our YouTube page or right here on our homepage at 6 p.m. CST, Friday, Jan. 1.
Although we’re still finalizing the full line-up we’re excited to announce that among the dozen performers are cellist Amanda Gookin, who was just featured in The New York Times feature “The 25 Best Classical Music Tracks of 2020” and the contemporary sounds of Khemia Ensemble, alongside familiar faces from our local community, including brand new music from Amos Cochran and Matt Magerkurth. As the tradition continues, we’re thrilled to partner with Open Mouth Readings for poetry and can’t wait to announce other performers and partner organizations. In addition to the 5 to 15 minute performances, we’ll also feature Q&A sessions throughout the night between Trillium’s Katy Henriksen and our wide reaching performers! Send us an email so we know to expect you: trilliumsalonseries@gmail.com. We’ll also let you in on exclusives for the first night of 2021!
